Pamela Coyle is a lifelong journalist who worked as a reporter and editor at major newspapers in Minneapolis, Minn., New Haven, Conn., New Orleans and, most recently, Nashville. She shared in Pulitzer Prizes for public service and deadline reporting for her role on the Hurricane Katrina coverage team at The Times-Picayune in New Orleans.
She and her husband live in south Nashville with their two dogs and an over-planted vegetable garden. In addition to gardening, Pamela’s hobbies include starting new craft projects and not finishing them.
Ellen Margulies is an experienced writer and editor with a long background in journalism, management, team-building and mentoring. Over the years she has specialized in such skills as storytelling, photo styling, food coverage, general features, breaking news and in-depth news coverage. In her spare time, when she’s not traveling to exotic locales with her boyfriend, she is a cupcake-obsessed, cat-crazed freelance writer, artist-crafter and lover of bad reality TV shows.
Sandra Roberts, who served as managing editor of the opinion pages for The Tennessean newspaper for 19 years is now serving as the manager and editor of Lily and Z’s opinions. Sandra is well-known and respected for her editorial leadership at The Tennessean, where she had worked for more than 31 years. Some of her professional honors include the National Headline Award, a Green Eyeshade Award from the Society of Professional Journalists and several Best Editorial Awards from the Tennessee Associated Press. She also received the Amicus Award from the American Association of Trial Lawyers. Roberts earned her B.A. degree from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and a Master of Library Science degree from Peabody College, Nashville.
Randall Lee Hicks is a Mac user, and has been addicted as long as he can remember. He come from a family of 7 Kids. Same Parents, 3 sisters, and 3 brothers. Caroline Harwood is a student at Harpeth Hall. She enjoys drawing, reading, sleeping (when she can), hiking, fishing, playing the dulcimer, and driving her family crazy with her existential ponderings. Caroline won a national award in Literary Magazine Illustration at the Kansas City Journalism Convention in 2010, and hopes to pursue art as a career.
